ZERONA is the first low level laser that effectively removes excess fat from adipose skin without the need for surgery and without causing any discomfort. It is a safe alternative to liposuction with its inherent discomfort, need for anaesthesia, and downtime. A cool laser emits a light beam that does not heat or damage the skin. It creates no pain, no short or long term side effects. Patients undergoing this treatment for body contouring can resume their normal activities immediately.
ZERONA is
an innovative device with 5 laser heads, one of which is fixed and the others located at the end of flexible arms which can be pointed to the area of desired fat loss. Each laser beam rotates in circles, intersecting the others and covering a large surface. When exposed to the beam, the fat cells of the area react with creating a tiny pore in their wall, allowing the fat to drain. Typically this is achieved completely by all exposed fat cells in less than 20minutes. The fat is picked up by the surrounding blood and lymph vessels and carried to the liver, from where it is excreted in a normal fashion into the gall bladder and intestines. None of these organs will malfunction even if large amounts of fat are processed. None of the fat is recycled. After the initial 20 minute treatment the patient is turned from the front onto the back for another 20 minute session. There are 6 treaments over a period of 2 weeks.
Results of the ZERONA treatment are measured in inches in several predetermined locations of the body. Your initial body weight is recorded. After the last session the measurements will be recorded again. You will also have your pictures taken before and after the treatment. It is important that you understand that all people are different in their reactions to medical treatments, no matter what type of treatment. We have seen both, outrageously good results and some that were not so glamorous. The majority does however very well.

Typical inch losses range from 3 inches to 12 inches. We see 8 inch losses frequently. Patients with excellent responses and larger fat pads have lost in excess of 18 inches when doing two packages instead of one. It is no fairy tail that patients drop 2 sizes in their clothing. It has happened multiple times in our office. Patient selection is done by Dr. Ringwald. Even though you may have been declared a good candidate you may have a less than ideal response. There is no sure way to determine who exactly is going to be successful.
We will present you with a list of things to do to to help you lose and things we don’t want you to do while under treatment. You will find that we are all on your side and do our best to help you achieve your goals of fat loss.
